MO:MO, born in Kathmandu with inspiration of Himalayan and Tibetan food culture, has adopted and developed its own taste and texture keeping originality intact. MO:MO is an ethnic food product that has a long history, tradition and culture for centuries. A long history, tradition and culture make MO:MO unique food in the world and MO:MO is the perfect blend which is spreading around the world rapidly mainly after civil war in Nepal 1996.
If we look back to the history MO:MO was a popular recipe of Nepali kitchen since 14th century.  Initially it was a popular dish among the Newari  Community of the Kathmandu Valley ( Kathmandu, Bhaktapur, Lalitpur). This unique recipe was believed to be taken from Tibet by the Newari merchants who had a trade relations with the Tibet. In contrary, some people believe that Nepalese Princess Bhrikuti who got married with Tibetan emperor Songt San Gampo introduced MO:MO in Tibet in 7th. Century.
